Shawn Hill was raised in Houston, Texas and received his degree in commercial art and advertising from Texas State Technical Institute. He has worked as a carpenter at the Alley Theatre in Houston and at the Industrial Scene Shop in Chicago.
He operates Tucker Hill Renovation with his wife Amy Putnam, renovating homes in the Northampton area. They are also both aspiring builders of fine furniture. He joined the Smith Department of Theatre in 2000.
