CHANGING YOUR NOVELL PASSWORD ON A NETWORKED PC
Your Novell password is the password used to access:
- Your Novell network account
- Your Moodle account
- Library databases from off-campus
You can use your Novell password to access your Novell network files from any networked Windows computer on the Smith campus.
Once you have successfully logged on to a networked Windows computer, you can change your Novell password anytime, as follows:
- Press
the CTRL, ALT, and DEL keys at the same time.
- In the Novell Security window, click on the Change Password button in the lower left corner.
- Enter your
old password in
the Old Password field and press the Tab key.
- Enter a
new password in
the New Password field and press the Tab key.
Note that passwords must be from 6-8 characters long, and cannot be a password you've used before.
- Re-enter
your new password in
the Confirm New Password field, and click the OK button.
Keep in mind that your Novell password is used for many different purposes, and changing your password here also changes it for all other systems that use the Novell LDAP server to authenticate accounts.
