RECOMMENDED & SUGGESTED iPAD APPS


New iPad apps are becoming available every day and many are of potential interest to the Smith community. ITS does not have the resources to test each app, but we can suggest apps that are aligned with Smith's standard software environment and the college's office productivity goals. We will continue updating this page as we determine which new apps are most promising.

Some of the apps listed below have been tested by ITS and are fully recommended and supported. Others have not yet been tested but may be of interest.

Unless otherwise noted, all apps listed below are available free from the App Store. Note that ITS does not fund the purchase of apps; they are a departmental or personal expense.

 


 


Apps & Services that Support Smith's Standard Software Environment

The following apps and services integrate well with Smith's standard software environment and are supported by ITS:

  • Smith Mail, Contacts, and Calendar (follow these instructions)
  • Apple Mail
  • iCal
  • Google Docs (not encrypted, so use only for non-sensitive information)
