COGNOS REPORTNET TIPS AND TRICKS
You may encounter a problem where a sheduled report will not run. This is a known issue in Cognos 8.3 and is caused when a user's groupwise password changes. IBM Cognos plans to fix this in a future release.
In the meantime, you can resolve this issue by manually "renewing credentals" as follows:
1. In Cognos Connection, Go to "My Area" (the person icon), and click the "My Preferences" link.
2. In the Set preferences area, click the "Personal" tab.
3. On the Personal preferences page, click "Renew the credentials" link.
4. Click OK when you receive this verification message. Then click OK on the Personal preferences page to return to the main Cognos Connection screen.
