CREATE A DEFAULT VALUE FOR A PROMPT (DROP DOWN)

To create a default value for a prompt (Drop Down):

1. Click the prompt control you want to modify.

2. In the Properties pane, click to highlight the Default Selections property. Then click the ellipsis button.

3.The Default Selection dialog box opens. Click the Add button.

4. Choose either Simple Selection or Range Selection.  For this term prompt example, choose Simple Selection.

5. Type in the default term prompt value (e.g. 200901).  Then click OK.

6. It's now listed in the Default selection dialog box.  Click OK.

7. Run your report. The default value is now automatically selected.
