I mostly teach cultural studies and theory. In Spring 2010, I am teaching PRS 305: Cultural Literacy (with Susan Van Dyne). My book Black Women, Identity and Cultural Theory: (Un)Becoming the Subject (Rutgers 2004) is an exploration of Black women's influence on poststructuralism. My new work explores what quiet could mean to how we think about Black culture.
