At least three of the student’s courses will be in one of the following concentrations - one of the courses in the category must be at the 300 level. The goal of this designation of concentration is for students to develop depth in a discipline or field within the study of women and gender, with special attention to the methodologies that shape the concentration.

  • Forms of literary and artistic expression {L/A} Literature, film studies, fine and/or performing arts (including courses designated as literature or the arts in the Latin Honors categories.)

  • Historical perspectives {H} History (including art history, music history and other courses designated as historical studies in the Latin Honors categories.)

  • Forms of political/social/economic thought/action/organization {S} Political and social sciences (including courses designated as social science in the Latin Honors categories.)

  • Scientific inquiry {S/M} The sciences, including psychology and exercise and sports studies (including courses designated as natural science, mathematics and analytical philosophy in the Latin Honors categories.)
