Program Schedule

Week One: Writing Skills

The first week will help you get going on new writing or revisit previous writing.

Weekend

The weekend will offer special workshop programming as well as social activities.

Week Two: Putting Writing to Work

The second week will focus on how to get your work published and to potentially use it for college admission.

Daily Schedule

The daily schedule will generally stay the same during the two weeks of the program.

9–10:30 a.m. Class
Week one: Fiction
Week two: Poetry
10:30–11 a.m. Break
11 a.m.–noon Independent writing, group work, reading and critique
Noon–1 p.m. Lunch
1–2:15 p.m. Breakout sessions
Meltzer—week one: Music Journalism; week two: Create Your Zine

Adler—week one: Food Writing; week two: Memoir Writing

Hauser—week one: TBD; week two: TBD
2:15–2:45 p.m. Break
2:45–4 p.m. Supervised writing workshop (by breakout session leader or intern)
