Program Dates

July 7 to August 3, 2013

Program Fee

$5,595 (U.S.)

Application Deadline

May 1, 2013. Applications will be accepted from September 1, 2012, through May 1, 2013. Applicants are encouraged to apply early, to allow ample time for visa processing.

Notification

Within three weeks of Smith's receiving a completed application, applicants will be notified by e-mail of their application status.

Application materials

  1. Completed ELL application
  2. Official secondary school transcript
  3. Applicant's statement of purpose (not to exceed one page)
  4. Two letters of academic recommendation from secondary school instructors
  5. iBT TOEFL or IELTS score. A minimum score of 50 is required for the iBT TOEFL exam; a minimum score of 5.5 is required for the IELTS, or a level assessment by the International Language Institute of Massachusetts
  6. $50 nonrefundable application fee
