By Airplane

Bradley International Airport

Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Windsor Locks (near Hartford), Conn., is the nearest airport to Smith. It is 33 miles south of Northampton on I-91—approximately 50 minutes from campus.

Smith offers shuttle service for Summer at Smith participants from Bradley only, and only at specified times (see arrival and departure information).

Logan International Airport

If you fly into Logan International Airport in Boston, Mass., you can take Michael's, Valley Transporter, and other shuttle services to get to Smith. These will be at your own expense.

By Bus

Peter Pan, Greyhound and Vermont Transit offer bus service to Northampton. From New York and most routes from Boston, you must change buses in Springfield to get to Northampton. We will pick you up and drop you off at the Northampton bus station.

By Train

Amtrak rail service brings passengers to nearby Springfield, Mass.; you can then take the bus into Northampton. You can also take Amtrak to Amherst, Mass., where we will pick you up. The phone number for Amtrak is (800) 872-7245.
