• 3.0 GPA
• Full Year Program: 2 years or the equivalent of college level German, normally four four-credit courses, of which one should be taken in the spring semester preceding study abroad; the ability to follow coursework in German: aural comprehension, reading and writing ability, and communicative competence.
• Spring Semester Program: 1 year of college level German, typically two four-credit courses.
• Smith students must meet the Smith College Eligibility Guidelines for Study Abroad; Guest students are advised to inquire about their home institution guidelines for study abroad.
• Evidence of maturity, responsibility, preparation for study abroad and demonstrated interest in German culture.
