Grants of up to $3000 will be awarded to students for intensive summer Hebrew language study, summer courses at Israeli universities, thesis research, and service internship opportunities during the summer of 2011 in Israel. For study opportunites, please see the list of recommended programs. For more information, please contact Professor Justin Cammy or the Office for International Study.
Priority is given to students who wish to continue to develop their skills in Hebrew language. Students do not need to be majors in Jewish Studies to apply to the Berger Fund, though priority will be given to majors or minors in Jewish Studies, Middle East Studies, Religion, or other relevant departments or programs for which summer study, research, or an internship opportunity in Israel during the summer makes academic sense. Normally, students will have a GPA of 3.00 or higher.
12:00 noon on March 15, at the Office for International Study, Wright Hall.
Please assemble and submit the following materials in person to the Office for International Study. Do not send any materials or letters of recommendation by email.
