The year in Geneva begins with a three-week orientation program to prepare students for academic and cultural life in Geneva. The orientation is organized into three courses: Intensive Oral and Written French Communication, Swiss Francophone Literature, and History of Switzerland and Genva.
Through program activities, students are introduced to the city of Geneva, its institutions, its museums, and, in particular, to the University and its various faculties, institutes and libraries.
An excursion to the Château de Chillon and the Rochers-de-Naye (near Montreux) concludes the orientation phase of the program.
