Eligibility: 2 years of college level Italian or the equivalent, with a good command of oral and written Italian
5 Fall semester courses:
• 3-4 Smith courses
• 1 audited university course with required written work for 2 Smith credits
• 1 internship course
4-5 Spring semester courses:
• 2-3 Smith courses
• 1-2 courses at the University of Florence
• 1 internship course
One semester internship option
with 4-credit major research paper:
Pistoia Early Childhood Centers
Academic Credit: 36 Smith College credits: 16 credits per semester; 2 orientation course credits: 2 credits for written work associated with the audited university course
