Nancy Brady from Nominations and Elections ran the meeting.

 Elections:

 All nominations for Staff Council Officers that were received via campus mail and email were added to those given at the meeting.

A vote was taken. There was a tie for Vice-Chair so a second ballot for Vice Chair only was taken.

Committee Reports:

Members from each committee gave a quick overview of their committees and spoke about some of the committees past accomplishments.

Committee Selection results:

Communications Committee: Kathryn Messier, Bill Sheehan, Christ Gentes, Art Usher

Personnel Policy Committee: Janet Spongberg, Joe Bialek, Adrianne Andrews, Jinny Mason, Sandy Bycenski, Pat Rist, Jan Cole, Merrilyn Lewis

Activities Committee: Alicia Guidiotti, Sabrina Marsh, Sharon Fagan, Lynda DallaPegorara, Rick Rubin, Lou Ann Krawczynski

 New Business:

Sandy Bycenski gave a quick overview of the Smith College Council for Community Policy. The committee is looking for a couple of Staff Council members to sit on it. Laurie Wyman, Pat Rist and Kathy Yarnell all volunteered.

A member brought forth the need for additional “New Employee” van tour speakers. Rick Rubin and Alicia Guidiotti volunteered... Prepared scripts to be forwarded.

Staff Council Meeting times discussed. One member mentioned that “roaming” meeting locations tend to attract larger amounts of people to the meetings. It was also mentioned that the current time worked well for those members who work the evening shift.
