Three ten-week summer
academic sessions, separated by two thirty-four week field
internships.
More than 1.4 million
items. Special-subject libraries for the fine arts, the performing
arts and the sciences; distinguished collection of women's
history manuscripts; nationally prominent rare book collection.
Networked PCs and Macintoshes;
multi-user UNIX servers; several academic resource centers and departmental
computing clusters. All student rooms are wired for Internet access
and cable TV.
Housing during the
June - August academic sessions is available on-campus in
co-ed or single sex dormitories. The cost of on-campus
room and board for the 2006 summer session will be $2,868.
Limited off-campus housing is available through private
arrangment. (The School regrets that we do not offer housing
to accomodate animals.) During the field work internship sessions,
housing arrangements must be made by students; costs vary
by region.
There are nearly 5,000 alumni of the School, residing in 50 states and 19 foreign countries. Together they form a vast network of skilled professionals providing leadership in a variety of social work settings including family service agencies, mental health centers, child welfare agencies, schools and hospitals. They are a vital and professionally involved group with a strong commitment to the School and to the profession of social work. |
