Most courses in the curriculum
are five weeks (one term) in length. Some courses, however,
are ten weeks (two terms) in length and are graded once at
the end of the ten-week period. The final grade for a ten-week
course shall be recorded on the transcript in each of the
two terms. A grade of Marginal Pass in a ten-week course will
be the equivalent of two Marginal Passes and will be
so recorded on the transcript.
To remain in good standing a Plan A student may receive up
to one F and two Marginal Passes. A Plan A student who receives
an F and three marginal, or lower, passes, in any courses is dismissed
from the program. A Plan A student who receives a third Marginal
Pass in a required course (or a fourth Marginal Pass overall)
will be dismissed from the School.
A BSW Advanced Standing student may receive up to two Marginal Passes in all courses, either required or elective,
and still remain in good standing. A third Marginal
Pass or an F will result in dismissal from the School.
Students will be notified of final grades of Marginal Pass
or Failure through the Office of the Registrar.
