ACADEMIC AND FIELD WORK PERFORMANCE STANDING COMMITTEE
Section 501:  Appeals and Grievance Procedures

501.4 - Grievance Procedures

If a policy or procedure of the School has not been followed or met, a student may petition the Dean in writing to grieve this issue. The specific nature of the grievance must be stated, including a statement of the policy or procedure the student believes was not followed or met. In addition, the student may wish to include a statement of his/her desired resolution of the issue.

The Dean may, at her or his discretion, determine that the stated issue does not warrant a formal grievance. The Dean may also choose to immediately notify any faculty member who is involved in the grievance and shall appoint a committee, consisting of the student's faculty advisor and such other members of the faculty as may be deemed necessary, to investigate the grievance and to report a recommendation.
