There are nearly 5,000 alumni of the
School, residing in 50 states and 19 foreign countries. Together
they form a vast network of skilled professionals providing leadership
in a variety of social work settings including family service agencies,
mental health centers, child welfare agencies, schools and hospitals.
They are a vital and professionally involved group with a strong
commitment to the School and to the profession of social work.
Realizing that field placement can be
period of uncertainty for students, Smith College School for Social
Work's alumni network around the country offers support to students
