Social work students
benefit from the wide variety of services offered by Smith’s
Career Development Office (CDO) which is dedicated to helping
students find a job after graduation. Experienced staff members
provide résumé and cover letter reviews, on-campus
workshops during the summer academic sessions, and individual
career counseling both on and off campus. The CDO also houses
individual reference files, a career resource library, and
the Smith College Career Advisory Service, a computerized
network of 15,000 College and SSW alumni who have volunteered
to advise other Smith students and alumni about their work
and post-Smith studies. CDO services are free to students
and graduates for two years following graduation.
