REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Admission Requirements

Courses offered through Smith’s Continuing Education Seminar Series are designed for social workers, therapists, counselors, and other human service professionals with a graduate degree.

(*Registrations must be submitted or postmarked by the Early Registration deadline to qualify for the discount.)

Fees

Please note: Full payment or agency purchase order is required at the time of registration.

Course Registration Fee: A one-time $20 non-refundable processing fee will be assessed to all course registrations.

Multiple Course Discount: Students registering for more than one course may register for courses at a discounted rate.

Tuition Fees

6-Hour:
One Course Two Courses or More (Discount rate)
Early Registration $115 $105 per course
Full Registration $125 $115 per course

Agency Payments: If your agency is sponsoring your registration, it is strongly recommended that you verify receipt of your registration before arriving on campus. Call (413) 585-7970 if a deadline is near and the agency will not have timely payment to meet that deadline.

*Military Discount:
Veterans and current service members are able to take courses in Weekend A (June 11-13) at half the full tuition rate ($62.50); seats are limited; applies to tuition only.

Senior Discount: Senior citizens (age 65 or older) receive a 10% discount in addition to the above discounts. (Applies to tuition only.)

*Smith College SSW Field Affiliate Discount: Directors of Training, Supervisors, and Faculty Field Advisors affiliated with the Smith College School for Social Work in 2008-09 or scheduled to affiliate with the School in 2009-10 may be eligible for free tuition in select courses (registration fee required).

The registration fee ( $20.00) will be assessed to your credit card upon receipt of your registration. Please note: if you are unable to attend, you must cancel your registration no later than the cancelation dates posted. Failure to cancel enrollment will result in the full tuition fee being charged to your credit card. Seats are limited; early registration is encouraged.

Invoice and Registration Materials: Upon receipt of your registration an invoice statement will be promptly emailed or mailed to you. Registration materials including how to access course syllabi, course specific learning objectives and any required readings will be emailed after May 1, 2009 or can be obtained by contacting the school at 413-585-7970 or SSWCED@email.smith.edu

Refund Policy

The $20 registration fee is non-refundable. Tuition refund requests submitted in writing no later than May 22, 2009 for Weekends A and B and June 26, 2009 for Weekend C will be honored. No refunds will be made after these dates. (Faxed or emailed refund requests are acceptable.)

Cancellation

The School for Social Work reserves the right to cancel any course that is underenrolled. Applicants will be notified in advance of the first session and registrants will be refunded in full.

Continuing Education Certificates

Upon successful completion of all course hours, certificates of continuing education credits earned will be sent by mail no later than August 31, 2009. One continuing education credit (CEC) is awarded for each instructional hour.

 

Due to the volume of registrations, we regret that we are unable to accept phone registrations.
