As social workers, we explore our own intersectional identities, particularly areas where we hold privilege. For those of us with wealth and class privilege, the conversations can be challenging; we often feel isolated, confused and ashamed. This two-part confidential workshop for SSW students who identify as owning-class and/or people with wealth will explore: How class privilege shows up in my life, in my SW practice, and at Smith? Why is class so taboo? How can understanding class privilege help us, our communities, and social change movements?
