SSW students are invited to Scales, Wednesday August 5th at 12:30pm to initiate the First Annual Bubble Wednesday. Bottles of bubble solution will be waiting for students in the dining room and in the loggia. Alas, no bubbling is allowed in the Dining Room. But students should feel free to bubble the rest of the campus. Who said Week Nine is no fun?
SSW Student Meditation group will meet at 8pm in the King living room.
Rabbi Rhonda Shapiro-Rieser, D.Min., is available for individual interfaith Spiritual Direction sessions. Spiritual Direction helps a person discern their spiritual path and their calling. It helps the individual to begin to identify spiritual issues in any given situation and gain clarity as to what their next steps should be. It can focus the person on practices that may help them along the path. Rhonda has specific training as an interfaith spiritual director so her door is open to all. To contact Rhonda, email her at rshapirorieser@smith.edu.
This experimental offering is intended to create a space where clinicians can explore the relationship between their outer-world expressions of social work and inner-world contemplative practices of meditation, mindfulness, yoga, qigong, tai chi, authentic movement, and more. A weekly exploration of contemplative practice, embodied listening, and heart-centered connection.
Every Monday 5:30pm-6:30pm in the Helen Hills Chapel. Come as you are, no experience necessary. For more information, contact Nathalie Rodriguez (nrodriguez@smith.edu) or Mark Davis (mddavis@smith.edu).
