As a member of the SSW community, you are invited to march in our commencement processional on Friday, August 14, 2015 in John M. Greene Hall. You are not required to march, but are more than welcome to join other faculty on stage during the ceremony.
Should you be interested in attending and need to order regalia, the deadline is Friday, July 10, 2015. (Note that orders received after July 10th may incur additional shipping fees, and University Cap and Gown, the vendor, cannot guarantee availability.)
Orders can be placed online via the following address: https://buildagrad.com/smithfaculty. Regalia orders will arrive the week of August 3rd and may be picked up at the Grecourt Bookshop at any time before graduation. Their hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. To contact the Grecourt Bookshop, you may call (413) 585-4140 or email ctoong@smith.edu.
As always, the School covers the cost of faculty regalia if you do not own your own regalia. Any rentals must be returned to the Grecourt Bookshop in their entirety within one week of graduation.
At a later time, we will be sending an email to all faculty formally inviting you to attend Commencement so we will be asking for your RSVP at a later time.
Information about Commencement, the speaker, and the reception is currently being updated and can be found online via the link provided below.

P & D is a place where all SSW faculty can meet to discuss their teaching, learn and problem-solve together and provide collegial support and consultation. This workshop has been a special part of the SSW program for a number of years and many faculty who have attended Pedagogy and Diversity have commented on how they have felt supported by their colleagues and have deepened and expanded their awareness and skills about integrating issues of identity and oppression into any course that they are teaching. The group is co-facilitated by Joshua Miller, resident faculty member, and Keshia Williams, Sotomayor Fellow. All faculty are welcome!
