SSW adjunct faculty member, Arlene Istar Lev, LCSW-R, CASAC, is mentioned in this New York Times article about the "Sex and Attachment: Coming Together" symposium, sponsored by the New York Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy.
Lev is the author of "The Complete Lesbian and Gay Parenting Guide" and "Transgender Emergence: Therapeutic Guidelines for Working with Gender-Variant People and their Families," which won the American Psychological Association (Division 44) Distinguished Book Award in 2006. She teaches "Clinical Skills Working with Gender Nonconforming Children and Transgender Youth" in SSW's Professional Education Seminars.
