The Bereavement Support Group is a space for students who have experienced loss in the recent or not so recent past while trying to manage the demands of academics and life at the SSW. This will be a comfortable setting offering reflection, connection and support.

This talk will focus on the unique work of psychotherapy with adolescents, and the ways in which our ideas of the therapeutic frame need to be adjusted to work with this population. This lecture is the first of a three part "Adolescent in Context" series. This lecture is open to anyone interested in exploring in more depth the myriad of emotions that arise when working with this wonderful and challenging population.

This two-session workshop (new material in each session) will focus on editing techniques for making social work writing more powerful and effective. Included will be discussion of active and passive voice, sexist language, and word choice--among other writing issues.
