Students interested in challenging
their bodies as well as their minds will find plenty of
opportunities at Smith's athletic complex which includes
two gymnasiums, locker facilities, two training areas with
free weights and Cybex weight machines, an athletic training
room, pool, squash courts, and a human performance laboratory
where athletes can monitor their aerobic power, flexibility,
nutrition, and body composition. The Dorothy Dalton Pool
is a 25-yard, six-lane pool with one and three-meter diving
boards, an underwater observation window, a Colorado timing
and diving judging system and scoreboard. An indoor track
and tennis facility provides a high-quality, weather-protected
environment. Outdoor facilities include twelve lighted cushion-coated
Decoturf tennis courts, lighted playing fields, a fully
enclosed softball diamond, and an eight-lane, 400-meter
Eurotran S track.
