The Department strongly encourages its students to spend a semester or a year studying abroad in a Spanish- or Portuguese-speaking country. In recent years, some 40-50 students have benefited from this experience, profiting from the total cultural immersion and the wide array of specialized courses offered in institutions of higher learning in nine different countries. Below are listed the Program for Mexican Culture and Society in Puebla, the PRESHCO program, as well as the countries where programs are approved for study abroad.
