Magic and Wildfire: Dreaming in Public

December 7 | 5:00 pm

Novelist and master theatre artist Andrea Hairston ( L. Wolff Kahn 1931 Professor of Theatre) and vocal artist Pan Morigan, both of Chrysalis Theatre, will bring a richly imagined world in song and story to the Josten Library mezzanine on December 7, at 5 p.m. Andrea will read from Will Do Magic for Small Change, her forthcoming novel. Set in Pittsburgh in the 19th century and 1980’s, and featuring Warrior Women from Dahomey, and young women who want to act, this is a story about story tellers . Pan will share songs created on lyrics drawn from Redwood and Wildfire, Andrea’s most recent published book. Books and CDs will be available for sale. Free and open to the public.
