Independent Schools Compensation Corporation
(ISCC) is a workers' compensation self insurance group in
which Smith College is a member. ISCC was created to
make a self insured workers' compensation program available
for private schools and cultural institutions in Massachusetts.
Its purpose is to meet and fulfill employers' needs under
applicable Massachusetts Workers' Compensation Statutes through
the effective use of cost efficient claims service, loss control
and safety programs. Throughout the year, ISCC produces
quarterly newsletters and sponsors safety workshops at various
member sites.
