Living at Smith

West Quad

Energetic and exciting, welcoming community, fun traditions, home away from home are just some of the ways students describe living in the houses of the West Quad. Come bond in the spacious living rooms of where weekly teas and hearth nights are held. Do homework and work on projects in comfortable study spaces and then take a break with a game or your favorite tv program in our cozy common areas. Celebrate Quad traditions such as Quadstock, QuadiGras, Celebrations and Quad Halloween with fellow housemates and Quadies. While the houses of the West Quad are large in size they are dedicated to creating an atmosphere that fosters community and a happy and healthy living experience.

What are your professional interests?
My professional interests include learning more about and working on Social Justice issues. I am passionate about creating awareness and fostering action regarding issues of power, privilege and inequality. I also love working on issues regarding gender and sexuality. Mostly, I am interested in student development and the experience of being at college, specifically the experience attending women's colleges.

What are your personal interests?
My personal interests include traveling. I love to go to new places, explore and meet new people. If could see the entire world, I would! I also love listening to, writing, playing and learning about all kinds of new music. I enjoy theater both watching it and being on stage. I've also recently become interested in photography and other forms of visual arts.

What is your education background?
I completed my Bachelor's at Wells College with a major in Psychology and a minor in Women's Studies. I continued my studies at Canisius College where I obtained my Master's degree in College Student Personnel Administration.

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Canton, NY. If you think Albany is upstate NY this is even farther north!

What are your two favorite places on campus?
My two favorite places on campus include the tree swing by the President's house that overlook the pond and under a tree on Chapin lawn.
