Head residents and
house coordinators are Smith seniors who live in and are
responsible for the management and general welfare of a
residential house. They assist students in building and
maintaining an environment which supports the academic mission
of the college, creates a friendly and caring community,
and promotes education outside the classroom through regulation
of college policy, daily contact with residents, and educational
and social programming. Head residents act as a resource
for students and as a link between students and various
administrative offices by making appropriate referrals to
campus offices when necessary.
