The Director Residence Life is responsible for all areas of residence life at Smith College. The director supervises the residential life staff, working closely with the area coordinators and head residents. She is available during open hours and by appointment.
The Assistant Director is a member of the student affairs professional staff. She works collaboratively with the Director of Residence Life, primarily in programming, training and recruitment. She also works closely with the Area Coordinators and student staff. She advises the House Presidents' Association and directs the campus-wide social system.
Hannah Durrant is the Assistant Director of Residence Life at Smith College. Hannah is going into her sixth year at Smith. Prior to serving as Assistant Director, Hannah was the Area Coordinator for the West Quad. Before Smith she spent the four years (2000-2004) working at Michigan State University where she earned her M.A. in Student Affairs Administration. Hannah earned her B.A. at Allegheny College is 1998.
Hannah's office is in Clark Hall and is available during her open hours or by appointment. She loves visitors, so please stop by!
The Housing Coordinator
handles all housing-related concerns and issues, including
room assignments, vacation and summer housing, the spring
housing lottery, and the room-change process.

Area coordinators are
professional members of the Student Affairs staff. They are
responsible for the management and supervision of a student
residence area consisting of eight to 11 houses or house complexes.
