S.O.S. (Service Organizations of Smith) is a comprehensive program focusing on community service. S.O.S.'s philosophy centers on building bridges among diverse groups of people, encouraging learning through community service work, and training students in community leadership.
Smith Students' Aid Society

The Smith Students' Aid Society is an association of alumnae, students, faculty, staff and friends working independently of, but in cooperation with, the college on behalf of current Smtih students with compelling need. The society was founded in 1897 and is dedicated to providing assistance in the form of small grants and loans for specific needs, thereby enabling Smith students to achieve their academic goals or enrich their educational experiences.
