Smith students have been intimidated, harassed and even assaulted while hitchhiking and jogging both on and off the campus.
- Jogging - Take a friend, wear light-colored clothing and face traffic.
- Hitchhiking - In addition to being hazardous, hitchhiking is forbidden by Northampton city ordinance.
- Carry a cell phone. In order to report an emergency promptly from your cell phone, program the Department of Campus Police phone number into your phone: 413-585-2490.
