SMITH LIFE & LEARNING

Smith Life & Learning is a program for all first year students. It aims to ease the transition to college life; encourage friendships among students living in different houses; strengthen the connections among students, faculty, and staff; and basically help make the first year at Smith more enriching and fun.  It is also designed to improve students' overall success at Smith both academically and socially.

The Smith Life & Learning program consists of a variety of activities:

Dinners. You will be invited to dine with your pre-major advisor and other members of your advising group in the fall.

Workshops. Many of these workshops are geared to developing specific skills that will be useful for students during their college careers and beyond.

Fun. First years receive special invitations to participate in social events on campus, including those planned by your class cabinet.
