The mission of the student affairs division is to support and direct student learning and development, contributing to student's individual achievements. The members of the division collaborate and cooperate to shape student experiences and assist in providing a meaningful and healthy undergraduate education.
The office provides a variety of services, programs and activities. The student affairs departments—office of student engagement, first-year student programs, health and counseling services, international students, multicultural affairs, residence life, wellness and the dean of students—collaborate to ensure a meaningful and healthy venture for all students. Student affairs staff members employ nationally recognized best practices to meet the unique needs of Smith students.
