Our offices are located at the Helen Hills Hills Chapel (no, it's not a typo), located on Elm Street across from the Admissions Office. Even though it looks like a church, it is in fact a multifaith space where people of all faiths (or no faith!) are free to gather. The Chapel has a large space on the main floor for formal gatherings, concerts, and quiet contemplation. You will find the dean and staff offices on the lower level, along with the Bodman Lounge, the Blue Room (a quiet space for meditation and prayer), the Reading Room, and a kitchen that all may use.
Some of these spaces require reservations, and others can be reserved if necessary. Reservations can be made by calling the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life at (413) 585-2750 or by emailing Kim Alston at kalston@smith.edu.
Occasionally, art exhibits and other projects are displayed throughout the building. These exhibits and projects cannot be changed or removed during for any reason, including wedding rehearsals or ceremonies.
