Timothy Jones '04 is a native of Richmond, VA, and currently serves as the Associate Pastor of Ministry Development and New Member Care at St. John's Congregational Church in Springfield, MA. In the midst of completing his psychology degree at Amherst College, Timothy felt a strong call to the ministry in the summer of 2003. After completing his degree in psychology at Amherst in 2004, Tim served as the Youth Pastor at St. John's Congregational Church in Springfield, MA. In March of 2009, Tim was called to the Pastoral Staff at First Central Baptist Church. Soon after arriving at First Central, Tim received his Master of Divinity from Boston University School of Theology in May of 2009. After two years at First Central, Timothy went back to St. John's in his current position.
At St. John's, Tim oversees all of the ministries at the church and serves as the primary contact for everyone first joining the church. He is very excited about what God is doing at this historic Church and about the vision that God has given the Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Calvin J. McFadden Sr. Tim has also been blessed to preach for various conferences, colleges, and churches across the country. God has also blessed him with the opportunity to spread the Gospel overseas by participating in the "News Release" Basketball program in Europe.
By his side in life and ministry is his gifted and beautiful wife, Nelly Jones. In June of 2009, Tim and Nelly were blessed with their first daughter, Sofia Esperanza Jones. Tim is also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
