The Bahá'í Faith is the youngest of the world's independent religions. Its founder, Bahá'u'lláh (1817-1892), is regarded by Bahá'ís as the most recent in the line of Messengers of God
There are a number of local Bahai communities here in Pioneer Valley with a variety of devotional gatherings, educational programs for children and junior youth, and study circles. Baha'i students from the five colleges meet regularly to plan social and educational gatherings, interfaith activities, and service projects. All Smith students are warmly welcomed to join these activities.
As the Bahai religious advisor, I serve as a liaison between Smith students and the local Baha'i communities and 5-college youth activities. I am an active member of the Northampton Bahai community and also serve as coordinator for the regional training program whose courses aim to build capacity for service to the community. I was an Ada Comstock scholar from 1996-2000.
