I have been Pastor and here in Northampton for just over 3 years since the birth of the five merged parishes on January 4, 2010.
This parish is now known as St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. The parish is named after the first American born saint who is best known for her work with the poor and with students and orphans. There is one other priest who is on staff to assist. We also have a Pastoral Minister, Mary McMahon, who is also available to serve the Smith community.
In addition, I am the Catholic priest on call 24/7 for Cooley Dickinson Hospital. I also serve the Hamden County Correctional Facility in Northampton. Lastly, we serve the nursing homes in Northampton: Rockridge, Calvin Coolidge, and Lathrop on South Street.
Everyone in our community can be served in some kind of way. Whether that is through counseling, liturgy, parishes services, or support.
We are right here in the Northampton community and available for Smith students. and many alums are active in our parish, even on our parish staff. In the past, students have attended our Masses and even gotten involved in choir, teaching and assisting in many ways.
