Festival of Sound & Space

A series of four shows featuring artists who explore space and sound through their innovative performances. The 2011-12 series had a special focus on improvisation, the practice of which, particularly when presented within a space designed for liturgy and ritual, speaks directly to our notions of space in a figurative sense through our perception of emotional space, metaphorical space, and musical/dramatic structure. The performers included musicians from New York City (Bora Yoon, Sam Pluta, and Jim Altieri) and Smith College (Greg Brown, Mike Vargas, and others). For more information, go here, or watch a video of one of the concerts here.

Special Events

The Office also sponsors special events like lunches, lectures, concerts, gatherings, parties, and art exhibits.

Retreats

We offer occasional weekend retreats on and off campus. Denominational and multi-faith retreats are also available in the local area.
