Students
Religion Liaisons
Alison Swayne '13
Alison is concentrating in Biblical studies although she has studied various traditions along the way. She was drawn to the Religion Department because of the space it offers to study and question concepts that form the building blocks of the lives of many people. She looks at religion as a lens through which to study people, planning on incorporating both her study of religion and education into non-profit work with children in the future.
Emily Branton '14
Emily's current focus within the religion department is in Biblical text and history, but other interests include rabbinics, the emergence of medieval rationalism, and religious engagement with questions of ecology and environment. She also enjoys studying foreign languages and social theory, and hopes to continue onto graduate studies focusing on religion and contemporary social conflict.
