Joel Kaminsky teaches courses on the Hebrew Bible and on ancient Jewish religion and literature. He received his doctorate in 1993 from the University of Chicago and came to Smith in 1997 after previously teaching at a number of other institutions, including St. Olaf College, Muhlenberg College and Loyola University of Chicago.
His research interests include narrative and theological work on the Hebrew Bible and Rabbinic Judaism.
