OPENING OF COLLEGE - SEPTEMBER 2009

Central Check-In: All students are required to participate in CCI, even if they have previously picked up their room keys.  Students who fail to do so or are unable to report during the scheduled hours for any reason (travel plans, other personal obligations, etc.) will be charged a late check-in fee and must process their enrollment at individual campus offices, beginning with Student Financial Services.  The fee is added to the student's account and is not waived.

Students will obtain registration materials and catalogues, validate ID's and pick up house keys at CCI.  For returning students CCI will take place at the Indoor Track and Tennis Facility during the following times:

Sunday, September 6 from 10am to 2pm and

Monday, September 7 from 1pm to 3pm

Houses are open for returning students beginning at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Septmber 6. Keys will be distributed at Central Check-In. Visit the Student Affairs website for further information about housing.

Those members of teams, organizations or groups required by the College to return prior to the 6th will be notified by the head of their group as to the date they are expected to arrive. If you have any questions concerning early arrival, please contact the Office of Residence Life at (413) 585-4940. Students permitted to return early must plan to participate in Central Check-In on either September 6th or 7th.

You may not remove furniture from your room; however, if you are interested in having your bed removed prior to your arrival, you should contact Building Services through the Physical Plant customer service number at (413) 585-2400 to have a Bed Removal Request Form mailed to you. You may also complete the form within the first week of fall opening. There is a fee for bed removal.

Opening Convocation will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, September 7th.

Final Examinations in the Fall Semester: The dates of the fall 2009 examination period are Saturday through Tuesday, December 19-22.  It is the student's responsibility to be on campus during this period and to make travel plans accordingly.
