The Smith College Diploma is printed with the graduate's name, degree and graduation honors. Majors do not appear on the diploma unless the graduate has been awarded departmental honors. The diploma displays the college seal and is individually signed by the President of the College.
During the senior year, the registrar's office will contact all graduating seniors to confirm the spelling of the diploma name. The diploma is printed in Latin and a translation is available here.
The registrar's office cannot produce copies of diplomas. The only copy of the diploma that exists is the original document that is distributed to the student at Commencement. In the case of a lost or damaged diploma, a replacement can be provided. It will be printed with the student's original name and is signed by the current President. A fee is charged. |
