The Spinelli Center staff are available to students from any discipline for help, advice, or quantitative or statistical counseling. Each of us is also available for appointments: to make an appointment, please click here!

Q-Tutors and their hours

Q-tutors hold open drop-in hours in the Spinelli Center. Depending on which Q-tutor you see, she might be able to help with the quantitative and mathematical parts of economics, engineering, chemistry, physics, statistics, etc.

  • Nhung is a senior majoring in Economics and Government and has previously tutored Microeconomics and Math. She has taken calculus, linear algebra, differential equations and econometrics.
  • Susan is a junior Economics and East Asian double major who has taken all the required courses for the economics major in addition to calculus I & II and discrete mathematics (MTH 153).
  • Mary is a junior Engineering major who has taken physics courses up through 210, calculus I & II, and linear algebra in addition to the EGR courses 100, 110, 220, 270, 320, 375, and 389.
  • Sarah is a senior Math and Biology double major who has taken calculus I, II, III, and IV, linear algebra, discrete mathematics, statistics and number theory as well as CHM 111.
  • Alina is a junior Engineering major who has previously tutored EGR 220. She has taken Calculus I, II, and III, MTH 241, PHY 210, and EGR 100, 110, 220, 270, 290, 320, and 375.
  • Lauren is a sophomore Engineering major who has previously tutored EGR 100. She has taken CHM 111, Calculus I and II, PHY 117, 118, and 210, and EGR 110, 220, and 270.
  • Alison and Micaela are post-baccalaureate students in the mathematics department with experience in a variety of mathematics courses.

Math and Stats TA's

The Math TA's are available Sunday - Thursday evenings 7-9 pm in the Math Forum on the third floor of Burton Hall.


TA's can help you with difficulties and questions in the courses: MTH 102, 111, 112, 114, 153, or 211.


The TA's are eager to welcome you and to support your progress in mathematics.

You'll need to enter the Science Center with your one card either at the main entrance of Burton or via the Sabin Reed door across from McConnell with the wheelchair ramp.

The Stats TA's are available Sunday - Thursday evenings 7-9 pm in Burton 302 on the third floor of Burton Hall.
