Q-Tutors and their hours

Q-tutors hold open drop-in hours in the Spinelli Center. Depending on which Q-tutor you see, she might be able to help with the quantitative and mathematical parts of economics, engineering, chemistry, physics, statistics, etc.

  • Cheryl is a math post-bac student. She majored in Economics and Latin American Studies at Smith. She has taken--and would love to chat about--introductory micro and macro (ECO 150 and 153), intermediate micro and macro (ECO 250 and 253), introductory stats (ECO 220), econometrics (ECO 240), linear algebra (MTH 211), calculus III (MTH 212), and analysis (MTH 281).

Math TA's

The Math TA's are available Sunday - Thursday evenings 7-9 pm in the Math Forum on the third floor of Burton Hall. The TA's are eager to welcome you and to support your progress in mathematics.

TA's can help you with difficulties and questions in the courses: MTH 102, 111, 112, 114, 153, or 211.

You'll need to enter the Science Center with your one card either at the main entrance of Burton or via the Sabin Reed door across from McConnell with the wheelchair ramp.

  • Judy is a senior mathematics and economics double major. She has taken MTH 247 (Regression Analysis), MTH 290 (Research Design and Analysis), MTH 292 (Data Science), ECO 240 (Econometrics) for statistics and can help with related topics such as introductory statistics (MTH107, MTH220, ECO240). She is familiar with R, STATA, and Python.
  • Madison is a sophomore and a math major. She has taken introductory statistics (MTH 220) as well as intermediate statistics (MTH 291) and can assist with related topics such as introductory statistics, multiple regression, research design and analysis, and programming in R.
  • Roseanna is a junior math major who has taken introductory and intermediate statistics. She can help with MTH 107, 201, 220, 290, R, SPSS, and Python.
  • Sara is a senior mathematics and statistics major who has taken Multiple Regression, Data Science, Probability, Mathematical Statistics, and the equivalent of introductory statistics. She also has experience with upper level mathematics and statistics. She can help with MTH 107, 201, 220, 291 and 292, ECO 220, and with R.
  • Yadira is a senior mathematics and statistics major. She has taken Intro. to Statistics, Research Design and Analysis, and Mathematical Statistics. She is familiar with R and Python.
