The Spinelli Center staff are available to students from any discipline for help, advice, or quantitative or statistical counseling. Each of us is also available for appointments: to make an appointment, please click here!

Q-Tutors and their hours

Q-tutors hold open drop-in hours in the Spinelli Center. Depending on which Q-tutor you see, she might be able to help with the quantitative and mathematical parts of economics, engineering, chemistry, physics, statistics, etc.

  • Aunaly is a second semester junior majoring in biochemistry. She has taken the core chemistry sequence, calculus III, statistics 245, bio 202 and 230, physics 117, and biochemistry I.
  • Dannia is a sophomore potentially majoring in Sociology and Environmental Science and Policy. She has taken Calculus I and II, CHM 111, EGR 100 & 110, and PHY 115.
  • Esther is a junior chemistry major. She has taken all the core chemistry courses, introductory biology courses, and calculus I and II.
  • Jennifer is a senior engineering major. She has taken all the core engineering courses, basic statistics, PHY 117, CHM 111, CSC 111, MTH114, and intro to microeconomics.
  • Ji Ah is a sophomore economics and math major. She has taken game theory, intro/intermediate micro/macro economics, econometrics, calculus, discrete math, linear algebra, and statistics.
  • Kelly is a post-baccalaureate student in the mathematics department, who has taken many different biology courses, general and organic chemistry and calculus-based physics. Her math courses include calculus I, II and III, differential equations, linear algebra, proofs, probability and modeling.
  • Lawren is a junior engineering major. She has taken CHM 111, MTH 114, MTH 245, MTH 222, PHY 117, PHY 118, PHY 210, and all core engineering courses.
  • Victoria is a senior Psychology major. She has taken MTH/PSY 190 and 290 and specializes in statistics.

Math TA's

The Math TA's are available Sunday - Thursday evenings 7-9 pm in the Math Forum on the third floor of Burton Hall. The TA's are eager to welcome you and to support your progress in mathematics.
