The planning effort is a college-wide endeavor,
and will require broad participation from the Smith community to be successful. To
assist the planning process and keep it moving in a focused and deliberate manner,
the Committee on Mission and Priorities will take on the role of the college’s “planning
committee” and will also oversee the reaccreditation process. The college may
complement CMP’s role with ad hoc task forces to work deeply on particular
issues as the need arises. At the outset of the planning process, a Planning Coordinating
Committee was appointed to oversee the collection of data and supporting materials
and to attend to the logistical and support needs of the planning process.
