Smith College Admission Academics Student Life About Smith Offices

Welcome to BUILDING AND RESIDENTIAL SERVICES Home Page

In response to our campus wide survey, we are trying to make information more available about our department and the services we provide.  We are a department of a combined 104 custodians, housekeepers, and truck drivers.  We have 28 staff members with over 20 years of experience.  We are responsible for cleaning 120 residential, academic, and administrative buildings.  Our staff cleans about 3 million square feet of building space weekly (that’s about 850 football fields of floor space).

We also provide office-moving support and do all the set-ups for college events (i.e. Concerts, dances, lectures, commencement, and other campus activities).  Please e-mail us with any questions or comments at: Building and Residential Services Contacts or send mail to:

We look forward to your suggestions and comments!
