Kathryn Pyne Addelson has published in feminist ethics and philosophy of the social sciences. She is the author of two books, Impure Thoughts and Moral Passages. She is currently doing collaborative work on cross-cultural and minority issues with Frederique Apffel-Marglin (Smith Department of Anthropology). The two are co-directors of the Smith Center for Mutual Learning. She is writing a book on the ontology and epistemology of collective agency. The thrust of the work is to broaden Anglo-American philosophy so as to make sense of gender, class, and multicultural issues.
